WomanScapes is a collection of alternative visions written by women, about women. The tales take place on distant planets, once upon a bygone age, in the realm of mythic creatures, and in seemingly ordinary backyards. Each author has created her own unique landscape of the imagination. Each reader must decide for themselves if they are ready to enter these strange worlds of Other Where and Other When.
AJ Caywood's contribution to WomanScapes During a violent spring storm, a horrible car accident turns Renee Finley’s life upside down. Alone and grief stricken, she struggles to pick up the pieces of her shattered life. Unexplainable sounds and strange visions that started after the accident become more frequent, making her wonder just how alone she really is. Then, Jared Martin, a member of the family that used to own Renee’s historic old home, begins to push her to sell it to him. Renee refuses, and Jared intends on showing her just how far he will go to reclaim it–revealing what he really is. Renee must find the courage to fight back, and when she does, she uncovers many truths that are hidden within the walls of the old home.
