Their path takes them from planet to planet in search of evidence to clear Cade’s name by any means.

Filled with intrigue and action, this book is a page turner. Every minute I wondered if they would be together, or if Cade would be able to love after all he had been through. Alexa survived her time in her prison only to break out and become a strong person in her own right. The author takes you on a journey and gives you a couple to root for with an ending that is sweet and satisfying.

Alexa and Cade are two very excellent main characters. The story is seen through the eyes of Alexa, but the author blends everything together so well that this seems like the perfect vantage point in which to experience the adventure. Escapee Alexa longs for a place where she can be who she truly is without fear of reprisal from men intent upon exploiting her healer powers. Cade Rogan is a man without a heart left to guide his soul, and yet he is still a character that will capture your attention from the get-go. He is the ultimate tortured hero, while also being a warrior, leader, and lover. This tale leaps from the death defying survival of the crash on a planet of horrifically mutated monsters with chillingly human traits, to a battle between two people against a corrupt galactic empire. Everything in between is an exciting rush of tension, passion, danger, and adventure. But this is only the beginning. The fight for freedom and survival is on, but when it is all over, can Cade and Alexa defeat the darkness that has over-shadowed their lives for so long, and let the light of love reawaken their hearts?

Alexa Bristow has escaped the research facility where she had been held prisoner. She is longing for a place where she can be herself and not have to worry about being punished or hurt. She is also in search of the woman she knows is hidden deep inside her. She stows away on a transport shuttle. When the shuttle crashes, she finds herself trying to survive with several other stranded people and one dangerous fugitive.

Cade Rogan is on the galaxy’s most wanted list. In fact he’s enemy number one. The stories of his murders and escapes are enough to inspire nightmares in the toughest man’s mind. Yet, Alexa looks into his eyes and sees a man lost in the darkness of evil that men do to each other. She glimpses gentleness behind the emptiness. As they travel across the galaxy, trying to escape those who hunt them, she comes to know a different man than the killer Cade has been portrayed as.

The world that A.J. Caywood has created is a place where greed seems to reign and people are nothing more than commodities to be used. Yet, her characters are strong and independent. They are determined to live on their own terms and by their own rules. The transformations that both Alexa and Cade go through are both subtle and startling at the same time. The pacing of the story goes at a nail biting speed as we hope and cheer these two on to their own freedom.

A wonderful addition to the science fiction romance genre, Stay In The Light teaches us that even those who seem unredeemable can be saved.

Alexa is desperate to escape from a research facility she has been in for the last few years. The TRF or Talent Research Facility has been snatching known psychics from her homeland for years, and forcing them into experiments and torture. When her chance to escape comes up, she takes it. She stows away on a freighter, not knowing where it is going, and not really caring. When her ship crashes on a planet, she finds out she's not the only stowaway on this craft. Rogan is a wanted criminal, and has been on the run for years. After getting to know him, she can't believe that he is capable of all they say he has done. She couldn't fall for a man like that, could she?

Stay in the Light is a story about a woman who finds her love in a very unexpected place. This is told in first person form, which can be a little distracting at times. While we get to know all about Alexa and her thoughts, we only see Rogan and the other people through her eyes and thoughts. That aside, this was an interesting story, and the author did an excellent job of telling the story in this form. Alexa comes across as a strong woman, who has had to learn to survive the hard way. Her insecurities are the same as all women, and that's part of what made her such an interesting character. Rogan is slightly mysterious; you are never quite sure how he feels. I really enjoyed reading this story, and I recommend it to people who like this genre.

Death, it seems, wears many faces--most of the planet is desert, threatening to desiccate those foolish enough to cross it, but the single oasis the survivors discover turns out to be even more dangerous. Mysterious and terrible creatures with horrifically human traits threaten Alexa and her fellow survivors on their journey to safety. But their situation is compounded by the discovery that Alexa wasn’t the only stow away--they’re also being shadowed by the alleged mass-murderer and fugitive, Cade Rogan.

And that’s just the beginning! Anna has created a wonderful story here folks. The story is all told first person, from Alexa's point of view, however it still grabbed me right away and wouldn't let me go. The hero, Cade, is yummy, makes you want to have him as your own. It's a great plot that moves along well and some good sci-fi without making your head spin. I'd highly recommend this book!

This book is wonderful! I couldn't put it down, so even when time was crunched I still read. I found myself completely into the story. It was very well written, and had a special touch of romance with action that can come off cheesy at times, but not with AJ Caywood's work. It was my first e-book and it was a perfect choice. The chapters flowed nicely with some added surprises thrown in here and there to keep the reader wondering if things really would work. The ending was perfect for me, as it brought closure and a smile to my face as the characters remained "true to their individual characteristics".

I HIGHLY recommend this book for those who haven't read it.

I just finished Stay in the Light! Ohhh it was sooooo good! I want MORE! LOL, now I can't wait for the sequel! Let me say this now, because I have a feeling that I might get carried away here...Ok, now...I cannot tell you how much I love Rogan's character. I don't know exactly why, he was just the coolest. I'm a sucker for the guy who's good with weapons. (Not guns, I mean true fighting with swords or knives or bows...and Rogan's definitely got the knives ) And I have to say that one of my favorite lines of the book was "I used to have one rule; now I got two. Don't touch my blade, and don't touch my woman." Ohh, it was so great! Just perfectly timed with explosive wording, was wonderful. As I said...really looking forward to the sequel.

Hi! I stumbled upon your book via the KY Web Ring and decided to read it after sampling the first chapter. It was so compelling and riveting I couldn’t ‘put it down’ all night until I was finished! I enjoyed reading it very much. I hope you will continue to write. WOW, I finally finished the book that I won and let me tell you it was GREAT! I enjoyed it so much. I highly recommend it if you haven't yet and you enjoy fast paced, futuristic suspense-romance this is it.

The characters Cade Rogan and Alexa grabbed my heart and took off running. You had me visualizing the planets, the facial expressions and had me tearing and jumping for joy. Sorry it took me so long to read it and get back to you, but other things got in the way so I only read it at night right before I went to bed. Yum dreams of Cade :D

Really your writing was wonderful, your voice is right there and the book reaches out and grabs you right from the first paragraph.
